King’s Lynn Academy opens new gym

A new Gym, including a fully equipped Gym, is now available for students and staff at King’s Lynn Academy during and after school hours.

It was officially opened Monday by North West Norfolk MP James Wild.

Thanks to the investment of the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust, of which the school is a part, the changing rooms of the academy’s gym have been renovated and a new physical education room has been created.

A new state-of-the-art gym has been added – fully equipped with treadmills, static bikes, rowing machines and a number of weight machines.

Students and staff can access the gymnasium facilities outside of school hours, once the initiation has been completed.

Eastern Multi-Academy Trust CEO Paul Shanks said: “Our investment in modernizing KLA sports facilities has transformed the learning environment for students and their teachers.

“Being able to support healthier lifestyles for our entire school community in exceptional facilities is an added benefit that we are happy to be able to offer. These buildings will provide modern, student-friendly facilities for many years to come. “

Alan Fletcher, Principal of KLA, said: “As a school we feel especially fortunate to have some great new sports facilities that our students and staff can all access. The new gymnasium, in particular, has proven to be very popular with our students!

Mr. Wild, who unveiled a plaque as a result. said: “I was delighted to open the new gym and see the excellent modern gym facilities that Eastern Multi-Academy Trust has invested in for KLA students and staff, including allowing them to be used after the school day.

“As an avid runner, I understand how important it is to involve students in sport to encourage them to continue to lead healthy and active lives after graduation.”
